Red, with your luck I would say "decline" My experience with purchasing adult birds has been anything but stellar. I'm with Sally on this one!

I think I will let it pass. I sure would hate to jeopardize my flock. I'm not saying that he's lying but your right. My licks not good. And he did say he had a hen that was lethargic and died two years ago. Yes, it's to risky. Thanks for talking some sence into me.

I'm lost in the thread and don't know who said what but who ever is dealing with an impacted crop... I have had that issue twice... One time I seperated the bird with no food and just gaterade... Waited to start pooping and helped pull the crap out and it is healthy and happy... Had a second and did what I read on the boards and massaged the crop and fed it oil and it died.... Just an FYI....

I like the Compulsive Paranoid Type better Pretty fancy pants there Sally girl. Is that the testing that has to be done so you can get NPIP CERTIFIED?

It is hard to turn down because he's a beautiful roo. To me anyway. That's why I posted it here because I wanted talks opinion and I wanted to be talked out of it to be honest. I had to call my cousin before to talk me out of a big truck. Thank God he was able to. A year later I was out of work. Darn thing didn't get but about 8 miles to the gallon. It would've been a yard ornament. I sure as Heck couldn't afford the gas.
