Figure about another $100 to 150 for bags,seasoning, intestines for sausage. OH and that wasn't counting the bone meat or about 50 lbs of trim and fat for the chickens.

that is what we use for the corned pork. that where the hocks go as well.

Lol we'll see. I would feel better about things if I ever get my disability. It would still drive me crazy not being able to work but at least I could contribute. I'm not saying it's not hard on a woman in this shape because we both know that it is. It just makes me feel less of a man. But I will get over it. I guess. I know my grandfather and dad never got over it. I could tell. I'll make it though.

he kept most of the neck and the heads. We got the hearts and livers, wasn;t enough fat to mess with for lard but I have plenty already canned. He also cuts the pigs down their spine and skins them
