Large hawk tried to get a roo uesterday right in front of dh & bil. Husband thinks now it might be what got 3 hens this summer. Bil said it was a golden eagle.

Those are huge! Were your hens carried off, because I think a golden would be strong enough to do it.

Got home from church to see seahawks down 30-0. Have scored 2x since halftime.

Good night Red!  If you add up the cost of how much you'd pay someone to do all the things you do, I think you'd feel better.  It adds up to quite a bit!  How much does it cost for child care, transportation, tutoring, personal shopper, cook, house keeper, etc. The list goes on!  It's all work, paid or not, and a valuable and necessary contribution to any household!

Morning all - up and around and getting ready for a day with Granny, you all should be jealous!!!!  I promise not to hoard her to myself for *too* long.......maybe I'll make you all pay a ransom to get her back!?!?!?!? 

Oh, and a little update from last night - thankfully it's wedding bells and not the pitter patter of little feet that DD wanted to tell us about.  Still not so sure even that is the best idea ever, but it's young love so what are you going to do.  They are on the same page with a long engagement (at least for now, we'll see how long that lasts) so there's that.  Most importantly, DD is happy and they are good for each other.  Gah, I feel so old.
