A www love your wife even more!!! Everyone assumes I dig football cause of my husband. Why can't women love football just because they do. I'm trying to pull myself out from sulking all day. Just gotta remember they gave us a great year.
X2 your team made it further than mine. I was just happy the skins made it in and the cowboys didn't lol.

Sold three pullets!

I hate to see them go, but that's just the nicest fella. He always promises they're going to be spoiled.

Woo hoo!!!!
It's overcast and drippy wet here, but warmish 57° so can't complain. Chickens are very erratic with their laying. Seems they're not all that sure about this strange water falling from the sky! Only one spot on the property that's dustbathe-able, so they all congregate in a small spot and flap away!
Lucky you - it is C-O-L-D here today, like make you spew a string of profanity the moment you step out the door cold, except you can't because your lips have frozen shut on contact with the air.........and, strangely, one of the best days as far as egg count, crazy chickens.

Large hawk swooped down in front of dh & bil yesterday at one of my hugh roos. He was only one out of coop. Dh said he was probably what killed my hens this summer.
Yikes - sounds like the flock may need to be taken off the buffet (put on lockdown) for a few days to encourage Mr. Hawk to move on to easier hunting

Will anyone guess what hapoened today? Some lady gave me a 11 by 3 coop. 33ft total! It was a good day so far here.

Wow - that is amazing!!! Congrats (shows good things come to good people)
Almost lost a hen again today to a hawk. Kiss were outside with them when we heard something hit the side of the trailer. Ran out and the kinds said the hawk flew off when they got around there. After looked under the porch and my big ee roo was under there. Ran around and three of my hens were hiding behind my main roo Henry. All was safe. Looked the roo over and found a little blood but no wound at all. Know the kids said that they thought the hawk had the roo down. I picked up all the feathers and a few were from my small Brahma hen. Looked her over nothing. Looked at the rest of most of the feathers and some were his but the rest I think we're the hawks. Guess that young roo probably saved my little Brahma. Think I'll keep him. Could he have mad the hawk bleed?. I checked them both good and saw nothing. I'm very proud of him and the kids.

Wow - hawks all around. I noticed one taking up watch in a tree not far from the run this past week here too....hasn't made any moves on the birds, but was sure happy to sit and look at the menu........
This scares me, mainly cause I got GREASE stuck in my friggin head now!

The polish I had used to give us eggs like that - every one of the hens laid eggs that shape.

she brought me a present and we went to Greensburg, about 45 min. ride. we went to a sit down restaurant where I thought the waitress wanted to go home with us. She was even on her knees . hahaa food was good . It was where I took Tom and he got stoned . then we went to rural king. No chickens but there was a cute little rabbit that chased me and ate my hair. I showed off everything I thought about at home and she grabbed a couple pics. No selfies though. Not sure why, She is a very beautiful woman. It was a great day. My butt got hot .
You kill me, Granny -- I had SUCH a good time today, hope we can do it again. It was so wonderful to meet Tom and Robert and see your chicken boy again, you have such a wonderful family - and thank you for letting me love on all your furry and feathered friends. I'll post the pictures here in a minute, it means walking all the way to the kitchen to find my phone and I think I need to finish thawing out first, lol.

Wow, lots of stuff going on in my absence. Had a good & very exhausting weekend with the grandkids. The only thing I'm trying to figure out is how an alien snuck in since their last visit & replaced my happy go lucky 2 yr old gd son with a winy, fit throwing little monster lol. Fortunately the 5 month old gs was in really good spirits this week though. Not much sleep in the past 2 nights, but part of that is I can't take my sleep meds when they are here so I don't sleep well even if they do. Got up to 6 inches of snow this morning that needed to be shoveled out of the chicken runs so the birds will go out to their water stations. Completed that & some quick chores, hurrying cuz hubs is keeping an eye on the little ones & he doesn't normally have his eyes in the back of his head glasses on

snow continued heavy for the next five hours. When I went out to shut coops down we had gotten over a foot of snow in 5 hours. So once again I had to shovel the runs & get the snow rake out & take some of the snow load off a small covered run & the roof vents. Hubby had to run the snowblower for the second time today. Praying we will not get anymore snow, but we are under a winter weather advisory for heavy snow fall until tomorrow evening. I don't know where I will go with it if we get more. The snowbanks are so high in the chicken runs now. That's the least of my problems though. The snows getting pretty deep on the roof of the house & garage. Right now its light & fluffy, but if the weather switched up on us & we got freezing rain or warmer temps it would be bad. Think that is going to have to be on this weeks agenda to get it shoveled off. Truly hard to believe that we've only had winter for 3 weeks this year. Mother nature is making up for giving us mild weather thru Christmas. Going to head for a warm bath, not certain if I'll make it back on or not. Have a nice night if I don't
