It's snowing here. They say 24-30". Supposed to be windy and blizzard and whiteout conditions. I have half a can of kerosene if the electric goes off. It's 21° so I didn't let the chicks and ducks out and they are giving me the stinkeye.

The roads are getting slippery and there is only one lane clear on the freeway. This is looking off my front steps.

Please be safe Newfie, do you have a gas station close where you can get more kerosene. We got 3' of snow a few springs ago. We were out of power for 5 days. A half a can doesn't sound like much.

Hi all. Sorry I haven't been on. Buy our power keeps flicking and going off. Caught up finally. Trying to save my cell in case I need it. Powers on right now. Very little snow. Sleet and freezing rain all day though. Everys fine. I laugh at these people that can't drive in stuff like this. Been going back and forth for family and friends that need stuff but scared to get out. My son wanted a ride to work and his grandpa told him the only one that was crazy enough to drive in this is me Lol. I took him and picked him up. Its not that bad to me but no one else thinks that in my town but me Lol. Gonna try to chat while the powers on. Been reading the other thread. Enjoying it to. It's fun to see that twist was once as uneducated as me . He asked was it ok to feed his chickens eggshells. At least I see that everyone had to learn things.

i hope red got snow.he's been wanting to see it..

Yep Granny, I really like my new coat !!  You have to understand, I buy ALL of my clothes, except lingerie, socks and shoes at "thrift" stores.  Then I literally wear them until they are not fit to wear any more. I actually wear my work clothes until the navy shirts aren't navy any more and then dye them, before buying something to replace them.

So, as Megan said, I was really shopping outside the box this morning!!!

Oh that's me. I just throw away some of my shirts from the early 90's

The snow has covered the streets here already.  I am thinking about putting on my long johns, boots and new coat and taking the air head dog for a walk down the street.  She will like it, she has long hair and if Megan turns the heat above 63 degrees, Sony starts panting!!

I have to take a picture from the kitchen window tomorrow after the snow stops.  There are houses as far as I can see......   

Megan says she will be fine until spring gets here, then she will get "farm fever".  I hope I make it that far.

It is incredible how much I miss going to the barn/coop every morning.  I have already given the house dogs a bath once since we have been here. Sony is next, then the cat and then I might even let the snake swim in the bath tub.  Can you tell I am getting bored with this new life style???

I sure wish y'all could've found a place in the country. I'd go crazy. Maybe soon enola.
