I found my recipe.. I have kids with allergies so mine is a little different.

It's easy breezy!!! 1/3 grated bar of your soap. De solved in 3 quarts of water. Add 1/2 cup of washing soda and 1/2 cup of borax.. De solve and cook for 15 minutes or until thickened. Add one quart of hot water to bucket and stir in mixture then cool down with 5 1/2 quarts of cold water... Stir in essence or lemon and let cool for a day... It will thicken into a syrup.

What makes it different? The amount of soap?

anyway, Im going too. stuff and such ...

How much do you use per load? I do a tablespoon of the powder per load. Two if it's a heavy load or super dirty.

I use a cap full per load.. I refill old laundry soap containers and reuse them... Im not sure how it would equal out dry though...

9.5 quarts would be 38 cups. There are 16 tsp in 1/3 of a cup of soap. That's 2.4 tsp of soap per cup of detergent. If your cap is 4 oz, then it's .6 tsp of soap per load. Mine is 1 tsp of soap per load dry.

That made my brain hurt. :lau
