Thank you!! That's a great idea, and not too hard. Love potato/leek soup, and mushrooms will only make it better.

Glad the pills worked to give you a little relief. Barfing is also on the list of "when to seek medical attention" along with the neck pain. Maybe you can work something out with SIL. See what the dr. says, but with your symptoms, there isn't much he can do. Sounds like you might need a big work up.

so was ringing in the ears. what was that for ? when to see a dr?

Don't you love being the exception to the rule? I had bronchitis (in my 20s) and the doc gave me some cough medicine with codeine, said it will calm the cough and put me to sleep. No. Didn't do a thing. I coughed non stop for 2 more days until the antibiotics kicked in.

LOL Nope !

They gave me shot of morphine, since I had been awake over 24 hrs, and labor was just beginning. I still felt everything, just didn't care.

I haven't heard Tanya Tucker in so long! Used to listen to her all the time.

Linda, why don't the others like the property? Sounds like the perfect size. Think of many chickens can fit on 2 acres!

Nothing like having the receptionist from the dentist make you feel like the worse mom in the world... Called to cancel apt cause the kids have that big that's going around. She made me feel horrible..... I think I'll go hide my head now.

No no Linda. You are the BEST mom in the world for NOT spreading the darned plague around!

Yay! Finally caught up. Good morning all! 10am here, so I'm still allowed to say that.

Yes granny, ringing in the ears, being dizzy, nausea, and vomiting along with the headaches are cause to get checked out. This is in conjunction with a possible neck strain or other injury. Don't forget what happened to my grandma- she had a completely cracked neck vertebrae and didn't even know it- except for all the other symptoms! Glad the pills worked.

Cooping right along!

My dad "rescued" an older TB broodmare who was starving. Her hair was 5 inches long! and it doesn't even get that cold here. Poor girl. She looked like a completely different horse after a few months.

Ask the dentist for a referral for a new dentist, and tell him exactly why you are looking for a new place. Betcha 10 bucks she won't be rude again, if she's still there.

Quote: Last summer, my younger boy (he was 13 then) went on a student tour to Washington DC. He tried all sorts of new foods on the trip! Said he didn't want to look like a baby on front of the others. Though he still doesn't mind looking like a big baby at home!

Quote: Yes yes yes! I completely agree. I was in a store, but not near my son who was trying to buy a gift without me seeing. He stood politely at the counter and was ignored for over 5 minutes. When I walked up, she came right over and asked if she could help me. I said no, but thought the young man wanted help. She just sort of stood there. I gave my son a big hug, and said thank you for wanting to buy me that lovely birthday gift, but lets go spend your money on hamburgers instead.

x2.

Neighbor from the back corner of our property just stopped by to tell me they are putting in a new fence, and the workers already had the old one down. I said I'd try to keep the dogs in until they finished. As soon as he left, I turned around and those rotten dogs were gone! Headed straight up to the back and invited themselves over. Wouldn't be a problem, except the neighbor has 2 tiny Yorkies with delusions of Great Danedom. They are rigging up a temporary fence until the new one goes up tomorrow. I also rigged up a temporary blockade to keep my beasties near the garage.

Then I went to check on the Seramas. Even Mo the mini roo was in the coop. Checked on the broodies, and I could hear peeping!!! Even the partially broody hens are right there listening. No signs of hatching other than that. Just going to leave them alone. Maybe.

And Grumpus the dying chicken needs to be helped along. I've got to go find a backbone I can use today.

So everyone is pacing and chain smoking in the coop?

I told DH if I don't sell those hona eggs in the next three days that I need to make a bator/hatcher. He said "you just want another incubator!" Well, yes... Isn't that what I said? :lau

Then I told him if we don't build one, in three days I'm going to just start pitching hona eggs. That made an impression, I think.

He told me a homemade bator would hold temps, wouldn't be stable, etc. SO THEN I tried to convince him that everyone considers the LG styro to be total garbage and he rolled his eyes. Hoping he looks that one up for himself.

Mo is the only one pacing and crowing up a storm! He is worried about the fence work up near his coop. All of the hens are poofed up and huddled near each other. I will try to to some pics after I deal with poor Grumpus.

I found the perfect piece of property here and everyone is so against it... But I figure if I saved my money, no one has a say. 2.24 acres for 25000. Perfect location!

The land is so cheep! ! I wish i could buy land with a price like that! In were I live 1 Dunam= 1000sq meters= 1/4 acre of building land will cost you 1,000,000$!!!!!

See pic of a real-estate agent!
1000

The first is 500 sqM= 1/8 acre=2000000 Shekels = almost 500,000$!
The second is 375sqM for the same price! And you are talking about 25,000$ for 2.25 acres? I will buy it any day!
