its grouse . I was looking at them just yesterday . for the sounds they make. pretty neat . they beat their wings faster and faster to make the noise . says you "feel " them more then hear.

My sister's brother in law hunts grouse every year for the holidays around their property. They love it. I have never had it.

There is no such thing as ample chickens . hhaahaa
I took the roo out today streched his legs and put him in the grass for a while. He has been all this time in the barn with the cats. He ate some grass, stumbled and fell a few times and after he got tired he lay down and here comes Binks the coon killer and lays next to him touching as they took a short nap together. I only have about 4-5 hens .
