I still just have the one polish egg. Thinking about sticking it in the bator but probably not the best idea. its a first pullet egg, it will get hit with a lot of humidity at the 2 week mark, wont be turned for a few days while the others are in lock down. Not the best shaped egg.

I almost bought eggs today but couldnt bring myself to do it. Rather do without.

I have one RIR she is a good egg layer but thats about it. I dont see any personality. I dont know why he wanted chicks. He wouldnt of cared which ones I bought as long as I bought some.   You know, slipping them in with the others just aint a bad idea, he probably would never know. I talked to him on the way up there about how winter and water was just too much for me. I cant do it. So its just his stroke I think wanting to buy more.
Hi granny, I sure wish there was a way for you to get rid of your current, sickly birds & start fresh. Including one of the coops moved up close by the house where you wouldn't have far to go to take care of them. Then get hatching eggs or chicks of the Polish you are wanting after the coop is thoroughly cleaned & disinfected so they wouldn't be exposed the the respitory disease that your current birds have. I want you to be able to have your birds for as long as you want to have birds. Not because you can't get out to care for them :hugs

I say to keep looking for some polish babies. Did you read the red has gone and done it!!!!

I did !

That is a very good idea. Her son in law should come over and move the coops and runs for her to make it easier access to feed and water those birds.
