It's loose because I haven't mounted it to anything yet. It's about as big as a deck of cards. If I open the lid it slides back on the floor sometimes. I'm thinking about mounting one of those plastic cups like that holds soap in the shower.

So its meant to be on the outside ? I was thinking I would need to cut more holes.

It's got a temp sensing probe that I ran through a vent hole. On the front right is my spot check thermometer. I have its probe on the left side, and the thermostat probe is on the right. They're usually within .5 degrees of each other. My fan needs a stronger power supply, but it's doing ok for now.

understand. not as bad as I thought to instal. LOL I want to check into one with humidity first . and there are auto humidity controls I want to read on some.

It doesn't have any wires. You have to use like an extension cord.

The wires don't go straight from the bulb to the tstat to the plug. That's what DH did wrong the first time. There was a lot of splicing.
