Much as I would like to take credit for the idea, it wasn't me!
The only hatching I've done is in a broodybator. Probably camping. Easy to get us -ings confused!
I can drive about 12 hours in a day, but only for one day. Couldn't do it the next. Trouble is I don't sleep well anywhere but home, and even then, "well" is a relative term, so I would be falling asleep at the wheel.
Now that is an excellent idea!!
And little dogs are far more annoying because of the high pitch. A big low woof doesn't bother me nearly as much as high pitched yapping! Same with the chickens. My rooster, Mo, is less than a pound. 13 ounces of manly bantamness! He doesn't crow all that much, thankfully.
2,340 miles to Portland from Madison, so about the same. 34 hours total. And you would be taking granny's chickens because.....??
