I feel about 1000 times better. I'm not sleeping all the time and I can do whatever I feel like. Mostly. lol Chest not hurting all the time, ringing in my ears not as loud, it's great!
No way. It's colder her than ND? We will top out at 59. I had weird dreams too. Worst thing was thinking I forgot my dad's bday. Woke up in a panic, but of course in the dream I was in the wrong month and had the date wrong too. Poor dad. Wouldn't put it past me to forget for real, though usually a sibling reminds me.well I am off to do something maybe just sit in the sun and convert my milk to good vitamins LOL
it is 67* with high of 71* maybe
Hi York! Have you checked your bator lately?Catch you later![]()
Goodness I can clear a thread![]()
well done young lady it just shows you dont need all the gear when you know what your doingThink my hatch is complete with a dozen chicks. I'm going to float test tonight and then eggtopsy to see what went wrong with the last four. Then I'll convert to brooder.
SO NOW I CAN TELL YOU that I did most of that hatch with no thermometers and no hygrometer.I borrowed them for the cooler and never put them back. I hadn't changed the settings from the previous hatch, and just sort of hoped for the best. When I candled on day 14 everything still looked pretty good, so I just kept going.![]()

And that's the story of the irresponsible incubation.
Bbq is a lazy mans favorite cooking granny
I have so much bare floor!! It saves my knees!
What do you expect - bad things happen when you have to visit the evil empire, lol, sorry about the ticket and very sorry you had to go to WalMart400 posts to catch up on
Vet is happy with Beth's toe and the nail can stay.
Then went to evil wally world and got a ticket for not coming to a complete stop.
Hi Tippy! Hi Twist!
It's so hard. Our instinct is to punish the dogs, but it isn't really their fault. It is always the owners' responsibility. Laws are not serious about making them accountable. I can just hear it... It was just a cat!![]()
We have a couple at the farm as well for varmits and should a yak ( or horse when I get one) break a leg. Better to quickly put it out of it's misery then wait for over an hour for the vet to get there. Or me with one of the rifles I have in town.
X 2 on both these posts -- a good .22 rifle is the way to go - you can take out/put down anything that might need doing, it is never pleasant, but like Twist, I like the fact that I know I have the ability to end the suffering of something should it become necessary.....it's not something anyone *wants* to do, but when the time comes it's good to be prepared.I would go with either a handgun or a rifle a 22 caliber would be large enough do to the job. Just make sure you test eh weight and balance and how comfortable it is for you to lift.
Yep!.22 as twist said is nice and easy with hardly any kick. Other half has one for shooting rabbits but it can easily take a dog down. .22 is a bit smaller and you should be able to handle it ok.
LOL - well, of course, just look at how the "gun ban" in Chicago ended all gun violence.................Yes. And of course all the criminals are going to abide by those laws, like the good little criminals they are.
Yeah - that thread is a nightmare to read through. While the soda/vinegar chamber works, the mechanics of it is not all that pleasant and a nice, quick head loss is cleaner, quicker and kinder (imo). All the other approaches are more about human comfort than animal comfort and that is backwards thinking to me.https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/455836/baking-soda-vinegar-ratio-for-euthanasia
Some interesting (and some terrible) ideas here.

Ohhhh boy, Devin is down for the count... Says he can't move, head hurts, aches and cough.... I don't understand. I'm the one that has been sleeping with Brandon every night. Don't get me wrong.. Happy I'm still functioning.. The man that never misses work is talking about staying home....![]()
Son says pretend your a nascar driver and only make left turns. He swears you will make it home.
Simple solution - you need to go to TSC and pick up a couple friends for it, lol.Now how am I supposed to cut its head off knowing that ? Its true, thats when it settled down. the other one is just laying around . no noise.
Yay for being out, bummer about the color -- unfortunately, getting a good breeding flock requires a LOT of culling, it's the downside. It's out! Another with lots of color on it.of four, only one was the right color.![]()
Charlie got three rabbits today ~
