got the ducklings out right? Storeys says 4 to 5 weeks with minimal day shelter and a warm spot at night. Should also stick with bails of bedding, will be cheaper than sand and the pine reacts with their waste.

yes, I put them out. couldnt take any more . They are at least a month more I am sure but cant remember. I think they are sleeping with their feet in the water and I feel bad about that so hope they will be ok. Thanks for looking.

I've got pictures somewhere of my ducks in the pond with it freezing around them. They are tough cookies, some waterfowl are born able to fly once they've dried off.

thats good to know. I noticed on these today little pin feathers on the wings and tails. I never would have thought it would take them so long .

the first ducklings I raised inside got so big so fast but still took forever to fully feather out. But like I said once they are they are essentially weather proof

thats one of those pictures that wont enlarge for me but from what I can see they look content. I hope These live . I will feel like crap if they dont. I am going against what they need as babies . Never again . I should of listened to enola better.

I am getting that spring itch. I found a filter with pump for my pond for $40.00 this fall at a flea market. It seems to be a very nice one. I am going through them $100. pumps like they aint nothing . cant figure that one out. We have frogs here. could have frog legs yr round if wanted. If I cant keep a pump going and my waterfall it is full of them in no time. I have changed that waterfall soo many times and have become tired with it once again. I am using the whiskey barrel for now. It is about all I have found the wind wont take. Very windy on top of this hill with just little trees . They are taking forever to grow.. the pines sing a nice song though.
