Mare, the yellow/blue EE, was it held a lot ? That girl is about the nosy-ist little thing I ever did see. IShe acts like she cant wait to see me too. comes flying to the door of the cage and acts happy to see me. I havent tried to hold her but she runs to my hand when its in the cage. I have her and the SS (not very friendly) with the tolbunt rooster with the bum leg. He likes the company. All the rest has been in the main coop for a while.


I fed the chickens but I didnt water. They have very little but its almost their bed time so I will do it in the am. I am just too tired. Told tom to remind me. LOL thats bad.

Little Pink Comb from my first hatch of honas.

The first batch of honas, bought from a diff breeder and not related. One of these rascals is getting really good at crowing.

Looks like only two pullets. Probably only one. :/

Are you still feeling like you are catching some virus? Feeling sick or just tired?

I'm sick of feeling tired, that's for sure.

I am just tired that all. body feels like it ran a few miles today. Wish I had got my B12 shot as I have no way of doing it now. I keep food down for my chicks 24/7 and I try to do that for the big girls as well. Sometimes they beat me to the draw though.

I used DE for the first time today. The garden bed is FULL of ants and I figured this was the safest thing foodwise?

I'd be super shocked if she did. She seemed like a nice lady. Plus she hadn't sexed the older chicks she had in a brooder. I just think it was bad luck, plus the one that died looked female also. It's fine, I could use another roo and a backup.

I'm getting isbar eggs after Easter, and I think they'll be a great project to mix with honas.

Yes, he has a pink comb. But his toes are only pink at the very tips now. I need to check all the other toes now.
