Will only be a couple hours of Saturday left when he gets home. Then there's jet lag... And he's sick... It's ok. We are having quality texting time.

LOL

Something was in my coop.

Didn't see the honas so I went out. As soon as I open the door I realize EVERY chicken is hollering. The honas are all huddled in the far corner of the coffin coop. All the chickens are still hollering. I got to the new coop: goats are bedded down. Chickens are roosted but hollering. Feed is spilled in the breezeway. I check the pasture: nothing. Check the coop: nothing. But feed is EVERYWHERE inside the coop, deep divets in the feed tray and it's piled an inch deep around the feeder.

First thought was goats, but they were bedded and even in the feeder the chickens wouldn't holler like that.

So what would go after feed but not birds?
Or maybe it was the goats in the feeder, but something else spilled the feed in the breezeway...

Is it dark there ?   no tracks in the feed ?

I think it was too late in the evening for squirrels. No tracks in the feed. I bet something was eating from the top of the sack and dumped it when it jumped out. Guess I could set the live trap tonight.

I tried for a while to google what eats chicken food and all I could get is what eats chickns. BTW, I watched a cow eat a chick.

Well, I ended up with a milk shake but I added a carnation instant breakfast and boy was it good.

Thats how to do it! Sounds good...

Camping, sounds like a rodent to me, thats all i can say. I don't know what kind...

I don't know either. The bottom perch is at least 2 ft off the ground. Top of the nests is close to 4. I need cameras. :/
