I am so impressed! That is a great coop!
thanks tippy. I'm going to start building on to it soon.

Hi Red, your very welcome. No my babies haven't found a home yet. Everything has suddenly stopped & I have a bunch of chicks & lots more in the incubators. Getting a little worried now. Went to the feed store & crazy thing TSC had chicks again. That's bad, never seen them have them twice in the spring. Does explain why my sales have dropped off though

Oh no. Maybe they'll start buying again. Can you post the pic of Chloe sitting in my lap?

Personally I would much rather buy from a local PERSON then a box store.   Nothing like watching a gilizion kids poking, grabbing, dropping every chick in the pen and seeing sick and dying chicks to make me say NO THANKS and walk away.

She's getting herself positioned to apply for a home loan so she never gets kicked out again.
and it will be all hers and it will increae value.

Bins are fenced off and latched. Employees are *usually* at the counter 20ft away..... I agree though, local is best.

ours is a good one too. They won't let you touch the chicks and it's fenced off.

Red ! You have been a busy boy ! I also love the rustic look. lap board would never look that good. Very proud of what you have accomplished !! chicks are very cute . My favorite is black with white face. Looks like a spanish chick. very cool.

Thanks granny. Those old pallets gave it the look that we wanted. And the best thing is I've only got ten bucks worth of screws in it.

Darn it I even done that wrong. Sally , Lisa was nice enough to post pics of my pallet coop and a few chicks. You have to look above. Lisa thank you so much. How's your babies doing? Have they all got homes already?

Our store here doesn't allow people to touch or handle the chicks. They are behind fencing. The feed store chicks are sought after because they can buy sexed birds. I'm sure it will pick back up. Just went into panic mode for a second.

I think my up coming 4 day stay with my grandkids has me freaking out. I've got chicks that are supposed to hatch & I have hatching egg orders to fill, not a good time for me to be out of town. It was my screw up though. Set the eggs without realizing the hatch day fell in that time frame that my dd & SIL were going to be out of town & needed me to stay at their house for 4 days to take care of the kids. Sat & Sun will be ok because they can be out here, but Sunday night we will have to head to their house because gd has school on Monday. Monday & Tuesday I will have to drive the 1 hour & a half each way in order to deal with my incubators & birds. It will all work out, just will be a teeny bit stressful

YOU CAN DO IT >>> Super lady just don't forget your cape.

Who is Chloe?
she's my bantam Brahma that follows me everywhere til I sit so she can get in my lap. While I was building the coop she went everywhere I went and if I bent down and she seen a leg, she'd fly on it. I spent more time putting her down then I did building the coop.

Yes red great looking coop   nicely done and on a "budget"   is just the frosting on the cake.  :bow
thanks twist. Budget was the best part. Pearl told my to go buy wood to finish it but I told her no. I'm still waiting on a piece of tin for the roof but that's it.
