There is a way to get the camera to focus on what you want. When taking the pic, only press the button half way down and wait a bit. It gives the camera a chance to get focused, which you can see on the view screen. When it looks good, press the button the rest of the way. Try it a few times, because you can always erase the ones you don't like. Also, if it's windy, you have to get lucky. It' helps to go back and scroll through the pics to see if you got it. Remember how to view the pics?

You can see what you've taken and erase if you want to. Button in the red circle takes it out of camera mode and lets you view what's on your SD card.

If you don't want a pic, hit the trash can button.

You will have to arrow up to highlight "delete one" then hit the tiny SET button in the center (I'm trying to point to it). SET acts like an enter or select button.

After it deletes, arrow down, select and highlight Exit and select it with SET.
