Yes, biology is a main branch of the sciences.  I was credentialed to teach Life Sciences (Biology) and Chemistry.  I didn't teach for very long, though, not like Benny and Jane.  Was in a tough school and burnt out very quickly.  Then had my little #1 who needed extra attention.  Thinking if I go back to teach, I will do elementary.  Rather have the same group of kids for the whole day than 150+ over the course of a day.  We'll just do lots of science and chemistry in class!  e     I better get to the point where I can walk without pain, or it's a no go for that plan!

But l always treat them fairly, and I am trying to be most knowledgeable and interesting as I can, not the students make ne tired, I can teach another 26 years, the problem is the beaurocracy and all the stupids in the education ministry that are killing me gradually...

Yes granny, i taught science for 32 years in alabama, georgia & virginia. Mostly biology & chemistry. I have a masters degree on biology education. Twist was.a teachrr also.

I was somehow hoping that you didn't have that kind of stupidity there. It's rampant here. And they get paid waaaay more than the teachers.
