caught up again. Another 13 dozen eggs out the door today. Down to 2 doz large and a doz jumbo's in the house. Will have knothead and kintwit bring in eggs tomorrow when we go to the auction .

Woke up to thunderboomers. Very long drawn out rumblies. I though someone was dragging a bobcat bucket along the pavement. Been raining all day. NO complaint's from me about that we need the moisture and will help the hay crop this summer. And I have mouths to feed now LOL


Just two bucklings. We think they're a boer-nubian cross. They're about 14 weeks old.
We're going to pull her babies after about three weeks and bottle feed them after that, for camp programming. I may try to milk her a little before she dries up. I'm not ready to commit to milking every day, but I would like to try the milk and make butter from it.
She's never been milked, so she may not even let me.
Edit: the nanny is dwarf nigerian, which (if I remember right) has the highest butterfat than other goat breeds.
