Yes!  Although, I am still amazed that you can basically have the world in your pocket. Just like being able to chat with you om the other side of the world!  It helped that my boys did not get phones until they were older (high school) and so are not as addicted as most of their friends.  It has replaced television for them, but otherwise is more of a tool than a lifestyle.

I never said that it is not an EXCELENT working tool! But we shel all remember that what it is no more no less! When it becomes the thing that identifies you you are in a big problem!

I want to make a littel qweez tgat I made in Sall's thread

1. How many phone number you remmber in comparison to the non smartphone times? (Era,are,eera,aera.... don't know how to spell it)

2. How often you use a navigator to reach from a to b?

3. Do you feel lost or stressed when you can use your smartphone?

answers   but then I was socialized in the old fashioned way

Nope I refused to have a tv in the living room, That room is for visiting.

If you come to visit me and all you can do is be on your phone I just leave you a lone and go about my normal day.

All phones and Television are turned off at the dinner table it you can't do that then go eat somewhere else. This applies to friends and extended family

Era is correct.

1. About the same. I relied on an address book before and still do, except for family #s that I use frequently.
2. Don't have a navigator. Google maps adds to my paper maps, but I pick the route and know where to turn without artificial help.
3. No. (and I'm sure you meant when you cannot use it)

The biggest use of my cell phone is text communications for coordinating carpool rides for school (with 5 other families) and with my hubs when he is out of town. It does bring me peace of mind that my teen driver has a phone with him, just in case.
