It is a dzo a cross between Yac and a cow, it has the hibrid vigorous features,
Heterosis, hig meat and milk production!

I know rassberries  put "fruit" on the second year wood.    So if they ate everything down to the ground last year there would be no fruit this year.   Grows first year fruit second year and then that "stalk"  dies.

DH mows them down pretty often. He must've let them winter over last year. Last summer he also mowed down my sassafras. This year I see three trying to come up so I'll be marking them VERY WELL.
