thank you LOL it's a room with a lot of heat lamps hanging down and an oil filled electric heat to help warm the room up.

I do remember to drop the temp by 5* every week. Just couldn't remember what they say to start at. SIGH I must be getting old.
It happens to the best of us Twist. Good luck with your new chicks tomorrow, looking forward to the pictures. I think you need to invest in a tranquilizer gun & just get it over with, with the yaks. It's too scary with how large they are & you having not raised them their whole life. One bad move and you or someone else could be maimed or killed. We would all feel better here at grannys house if you just put them to sleep for a bit, then pulled the hairs you need for the DNA tests.

I would if I knew for sure if the "girls" were in the family way or not. I do NOT want any harm to come to the yakletts.

The headgate will work fine on the cows as they are only 550 to 650 pounds. and the head will be confined, trapped. Put Porter is a whole nother story LOL and he is the tamest of the bunch other then sharing the treats with the girls.

Lol! I'm 54 and can still do the splits!

x2 on family way. I wish I knew for sure if the nanny goat is knocked up. She looks awfully slim...

My 85 year old great Aunt Betty could do splits and put her hands flat on the floor with straight legs. Never in my life have I been able to do either. Of course I'm over half a foot taller than she was. Lot farther to reach the ground!

right ! How tall are you ? I used to be 5'7'' dont know if I still am or not.

Quote: I made a nice graceful, I mean klutzy step over the garden fence last summer, only to catch my boot on the fence. My leg stopped but I kept going. Fortunately the fence let loose of the boot as I fell. Managed to land butt first on 2 of my cabbages. They were so nice looking & almost ready to pick. Not so much after my big butt flattened them

Was praying the neighbors weren't looking out their window when I did that trick.

at first I thought when you were talking cabbages you actually meant your bottom cheeks. And they were almost ready

Well cong

That's how I hurt my shoulder last year, except I was wearing flip flops and fell forward on the hard ground.  No cabbages were harmed or killed in the incident.

:yuckyuck

Hi Tippy, how are you doing? I feel like it's been forever :hugs

Hi! I'm doing well. On my my way (I hope) to becoming an underwriter for USDA loans. Not quite what I wanted.... but a start anyway!
Congrats Tippy, I have no doubt in my mind about you getting to point A by having to do point B first. Your a fighter, it's only a matter of time before you get to the place you want to be.

Lock up the girls then, but give ol Porter a cocktail for your safety. At least this year, until you can work with him enough to know if he can be trusted.
