My sister would always make choking/gagging noises when Dad or I would light up or my 2 brothers latter on. . Funny it never bothered her if she was sleeping.

Well you wouldn't. Not sure about the smoke. Chain smoke, meaning a cig is constantly in your hand? I chained smoked for about 10 minutes when I was 12.
