She doesn't look right to me either.... What does egg bound do to a hen?

I never had one but she would be straining , squatting.

I felt for an egg and couldn't find one. I checked for mites and noticed age had green around her vent. Several of them have messy vents, actually. That points back to coccidia?

or worms . green poop is starvation coccie normally has bloody poop . You said you seen that already . is this the same coop ?

Same coop. It's not dark green, it was more like lime green. Does that matter?

My last bag of Dumor goat feed had mold in it. I assumed it was my fault and got a tub to put everything in. Where do you store your feed granny? The arrow feed is in a paper bag, so it's susceptible to moisture too.

Does it hurt to worm and treat for cocci at the same time? I can't imagine it would be easy on the system.

Camping, are her legs wider apart than usual? Could be egg bound or internal laying? I had one that had that. She started looking like a penguin.


This was toward the end when she got really bad.

it stays in its own bag til I get low . I keep it in a plastic garbage can made just for feed. rodent proof.

Maybe she sees fairies.  Doesn't sound like wry neck unless it's just the beginning.  Keep an eye on her in case it gets worse.  Could be a neurological thing??  Something she just might have to live with.  What breed?
