weird experience today. went to Bob Evens for a breakfast. Something way off with my scrambled eggs. bitter/powder taste. I tell the waitress and of course she cops an attitude. That comes from a pitcher of eggs and everyone eats them. IE: If no one else complained I must be imagining it. . Do you want more ? Umm, no. LOL So manager comes over , I tell him the same thing. He hurrys off. 5 min. later he is back apologizing with this story. They crack the eggs that are to be scrambled and add a pinch of baking soda to keep them fresh because if they sit out longer then 4 hrs. they will go bad without it. And he must of added too much. He tasted them as well he claims. He takes $3. off the bill. He is very nice and also offers us something from the bakery. a banana bread loaf. We just cut into it a few min. ago and it too is unfit to eat. Same reason.
I tried to research it. baking soda can sometimes be used to "fluff" eggs.
People with heart problems, This can actually kill you /make heart worse.
I am not 100% convinced it was baking soda.

The lilies bloom, like yellow golfballs. Not very pretty. 
Yuck.pretty sure he is lying about the preserving . Maybe he is fluffing the eggs and only using one instead of 2 ? I have never has alum that I know of but for some reason thats what it reminded me of.
