I traded my 12 roos for 9 americana hens & a roo today. They are 2 years old so i hope to get some blue eggs to incubate.

you can try hand digging them out just get below the cross plate and then try to pry it out with the shovel OR if you want a herneia just grab the post and pull up. Wet ground makes it easier.

OR try wiggling the post back and forth and to and forth and them pull or dig

OR you could have your strong young son do it, or a grandson or sil. You try doing that, you won't be able to move for a week!!

What a great deal! What's your secret? Wish there was someone around here that would trade hens for roosters. Of course mine are Serama cockerels, so not much of a table bird.
