Good. Chickens have discovered they can fly really high. so mostly spending time chasing after them. Bringing one of two of them to some local "family day" so they can get used to being somewhere other than here. Looking at Rare breed auctions, i MIGHT need to be tied down. But, im planning. I also won some card contest so l have to go accept my award witch is a 100 dollar gift card basket.

I like them too. I've been looking at other crested breeds to see if he could have been crossed. Often other breeds are used for certain traits or colours. They are crossed back to the original breeds. For instance one of my frizzle hens has some feathers on her legs. She should not have and her parents didn't but this could be a trait showing itself from many generations back.

actually we are redoing everything down around the old horse barn, and making a new chute complete with a head catch gate. Finished all the tear out that was needed and started drilling 12 inch holes. over 3 foot deep.
