Granny, let the chicken rest in the fridge a couple days if you can. Once rigor has let go it will be more tender.

This is good to know! thanks
When hubby & I did our meat birds last fall we cleaned, bagged & placed in fridge for 3 days. Once rigor was gone, we froze them. They have been great :drool

Lol yeah Cody pulls it all out and ask what is what. Then he plays with it with his sister. I was in the yard the other day and here he comes with a small skinned snake lol. It was a green snake that we'd apparently run over in the driveway. I ask why he skinned it. His favorite line. Idk lol. Then he said maybe we can eat it.

Hi Kiki, I'm Lisa the crazy ChickenLady

Hi Lisa!

I just got my first ever baby chicks last week.

I just moved them outside.
Well......I left them out for two hours and felt so bad (it's hot) so I moved them back in!
LOL
I have no idea what I have or how old they are.
Nice to meet cha!

I just remembered...we had a run of that several months ago on another thread, only it was with regular posts, not PM's. You can post on the feedback forum, or PM one of the mods, like @sumi

thanks. I didn't want to be rude in the PM's since I am a newbie, but Geez and person with half a brain would know not to ask a newbie a question...right?
I'll PM Sumi!

Is is normal for me to be getting PM's asking for advice from some random none english speaking person??
Report the PM's. We won't go into your inbox (we can't), we'll only see the message you've reported and take action as needed.
