This is what I look like in my Bi-Pap pillows and chin strap to keep mouth.

Know I look like something out of a horror story.

But the little grand babies I tease then by acting like an elephant. They giggle and laughr and say "again, again." Sometimes I put the pillow part on them and they laugh and try to make elephant noises.

I have a flock of yearlings, consistant layers. Last week one of them laid an egg with a shell that never hardened. Was all I could do to remove it from the nest w/o breaking it. Next day I got one with a shell so soft that DW stuck her thumb through it. Normal eggs since. Both conditions have occurred before. I don't think calcium deficiency is the problem; I've had a tub of oyster shell under the coop for 2+ weeks. Maybe heat-related, maybe not.

Morning, up too early again. I need more sleep then this. excited about the birds today. I hope they are good looking and healthy. 3 yrs. is kinda old.
