I bought the new bator because the old one would spite temps up to 104 but those hatches were better %s than 9/34. 3 of the marans had yellow feathers. What s up with that. The only EE chick has chubby cheek feathers & os black with yellow undercarriage.

Ohhhh no, I'm so sorry Jane. I wish I knew what that was all about.... Maybe the temperatures aren't calibrated.

x2 on that. Jane , you can check your thermometer to see if its right. there are tests for it. what kind do you have ? Mine was off because of weak batteries. the humidity does a # on battery ones .

anyone know what kind of bird this is besides a dead one ?
 
Im itching all over. LOL I took the mean tolbunt out intending to hold it for a few min. I think it turned into more then an hour Figured while I am holding him I might as well dull them spurs down some That went well so I thought ok, I will get the nails while I am at it. I got one.. The rest of the time was spent putting pressure and corn starch on it. So he even fell asleep against my chest a couple time. Never tried to bite but struggled a lot. He kept crowing the wholetime I had him except for his little nap. I wonder if this was a good sign or one of defiance ?
