No goats, but there's peeping under a broody! :yesss: Here's Roxie's belly today.

And we've got a little discharge!

Oldest chicks and guineas.

Size difference. Very clear who gets size from the roo and from the hen. All the chicks are roos.

Polish mix baby.

Hard to tell, but these three are PUNY. Tiny little things. They act blind, peep loudly and often, and get the zoomies so bad they just flip into and off of things. Failure to thrive? Cocci? I'm thinking of moving then back to the indoor brooder with shallow dishes of feed and water.

They're a few days older than those EE chicks. Any thoughts @Sally Sunshine?

Guh. That humidity is killer!!!

It's still not so bad here but supposed to get up to 92 today and triple digits tomorrow and Monday. Ugh. I better get up and do stuff now before I get cooked.

It cools off amazingly overnight. When I did my 4am out with the mutt I was kinda chilly. (Yay shorts)

But when I went out to do the morning chicken release into the raptor paddock/toss them some leftover corn on the cob bits/throw water on my plants...the sun is hot. It promises to be toasty.

Hope the chicks do ok. Your chicks & chickens are all beautiful.

Morning all. After DD orthodontic appt we drove to Henderson to celebrate Step GSs birthday. Itwas 115* yesterday. OMG don't know how I lived with that heat for 50+ years. I was melting. Sat myself in front of a fan basically all day.

Hubby finally got DD to go to Quick care center for her hand. Not broken. Just a bad sprain.

While at DS house one of his guests baby had a really bad seizure had to call an ambulance. They had to intubate him as he stopped breathing. They got him stable and. Admitted him to hospital. Mother said he has a really rare genetic disorder and drs only give him 8 months to live. So sad, was hard to watch. There was nothing I could do so made sure all the other kids stayed out side while everything was going on.

Am laying in bed debating whether to get up or not. Kinda nice not having to get up to take care of chicks.

Yesterday morning finally heard my 3 mo old Roo trying to crow. Was a really funny sound. Almost a choked sounding crow. Lol

Missed seeing pics of your legs Twisted, took them down too soon.

Hope you have your baby goat soon Camping. I know it's really stressful just waiting on pins and needles for the baby. But they come in their own good time.

but baby goats coming soon!!!

Star, try to stay cool. Don't over work and drink plenty of water as well as everyone else battling the heat.

Btw, good morning all.
