I am in the desert part of Utah, just up in mountains. So it's a little cooler than lower down. Lots cooler than where I moved from, Henderson, NV ( just outside Las Vegas). Summers there could get up in the 120's on the ground from all the houses, concrete and black tops. I think two years ago out side Caesar's Palace it was 160. But the weather ppl take the temps 5 miles up in the sky. Like as if we live up there. I think they don't want to scare the tourists away.

Goodness, I can't believe how hot that is!! I'm not sure I would cope and I'm in general cold all the time.

I know but if you knew it was 160 on the Las Vegas strip would you visit?

I used to love the heat, I was born and lived there 50+ years. But since it's built up so much, plus it used to be a dry heat, ppl building swimming pools, lots of grass it has gotten hotter and more humid. Although 25% humidity doesn't seem like much but when combined with 125* temp its hot.

I would make sure to find somewhere with AC though!

My friend had a week honeymoon in Las Vegas then a week in Hawaii. It all sounded good!!

All places in Las Vegas have AC.

Well i m 50 pages behind. The 2 chicks that i hatched 5 days late both died. Boohooooo. I m fixing to be really busy "putting up" the veggies from the garden. Peas, squash, beans, tomatoes will be ready within a week. Only getting 7 eggs/day from 20 layers. I m feeding layer pellets, mealworms & collard greens daily. Should. be getting my weaned pygmy billy goat in about a week.

Mine is a little complicated. A ton of drs. wont see me because of it. It messes with my BP, sugar, adrenaline, memory, kidney stones. It pretty much controls all my organs. well, them I have left. LOL been on prednisone most my life.
