Let the chicks free range for an hour tonight. It was their first time. It was funny watching a 9 week old bantam Roo, named Jawk, trying to fight with a 7 week old turkey, turkey was 3x his size. Had to step between as I didn't want anyone hurt. Then my 4 week old bantam Roo, I call him Roo,took on a 9 week old Sigiata, chased her back to her own cage. It was funny watching Roo keep all his girls together. If one got too far away he would chase her back near cage.

As soon as it started getting dark everyone headed back to their own coop except, Syann, our 1 yr old Blue Lace Aundalasian (sp). She wanted in other coop but the chicks in that coop didn't want her there. Had to put her in the correct coop.

LOL maybe the other coop had better bedtime snacks

LOL sounds like you had a time of it.

I dont cook the tomatoes before I put them in the jars. dip them in boiling water then ice water to skin them, quarter them and put them in the jars with salt and if you want stewed , sugar bell pepper and onion. then can/process them for about 45 min. water bath cooks them.

I do the water bath method also. NO salt I use lemon juice instead. but I do the hot pack.
