caught up What a FARKING CIRCUS today.

All the cows are poured, we left Porter alone he is tame enough we can pout him from Fat Polly

I got the base of the tail hair from all 3 girls, Calves got ignored, So of the cows did NOT get new ear bangles.

I am down to 14 chicks, and also 2 hens gone this week it is a weasel/or mink just heads missing and not all of them. Comet pushed me over the edge this afternoon so I kicked her in the head AMAZING how she straightened up after that. STUPID WENCH would not go in chute , tossed Tibbets, charged the 4 wheeler, charged me (I was on other side of fence) and then managed to get her head stuck in the new gates. Good news the gates and fence all held. She now has lovely green horns. I have no idea how long she was stuck as we left her in the paddock with the chute to cool/calm down. After we finally got Tibbet's and Wagoner out of there.

IF today doesn't "jump start" Star in to calving I am not sure what will

Missallet decided to roll in fresh yak poo TWICE.

Took over 45 minutes to get to farm due to road construction on a overpass I don't even need to use to get to the farm.

OMG the warnings about applying the pour on. But it's save for lactating cows. 1/2 oz for every 100 pounds of weight.

WEAR long sleves, socks, shoes, long pants, used no permeaible rubber type gloves. Got to hospital if any gets on you . And I just put this on $20,000.00 worth of livestock.

York, I hope Brenda recovers. At least she is eating and not in shock. What kind of dog does your mum have? Some are not so good with chickens. My little beast, Scooter, wanted go after the chickens, so I kept them separate. Once he got in their pen and was wreaking havoc. I couldn't catch him and he chased some hens into the coop run. The only way I could quickly reach was to shove myself through the pop door with a stick. Of course I got stuck at the hips halfway through the door.

Imagine me yelling on hands and knees with my a$$end hanging out of the run, chickens screaming and flapping all over, Scooter gleefully barking and ripping feathers and having a grand old time. He finally got close enough (when there wasn't a chicken in my face) and I smacked him across the back with the stick- not hard, but thought I murdered him, the way he reacted. He came over to me crying and sniveling. He didn't know I did it, he thought one of the hens got him!

It completely cured him of chicken chasing. I even leave him out alone with the Seramas now. He protects them from the evil wild quail, which he still chases, but can never catch.
(Just for the record, that's the only time Scooter has been hit since he showed up here 5 yrs ago.)
