Still no goats. BUT I got 13 eggs today, so an egg from every hen but Lagertha and the two broodies!

Even the elderly Americana hen laid an egg today. And former broody cochin/murderer Mae West!

Sounds like you had a great day. The campers look like they are really enjoying themselves! Good food, good friends, good times!

Looks like I missed everyone. I took a very long nap. woke up and GS was outside . I went out to see what he was doing and he was taking his favorite hens out of the coop and "hiding" them in the serama coop. LOL I was supposed to keep 3-4 we have 7.
I am very dizzy. Not my sugar. comes when I move my head. Ears ?

Ah. You're back! I have been watching an old Buster Keaton silent movie. He fell in love with a Jersey cow! You would have been terrified. Lots of beef steers with long horns running through 1925 downtown Pasadena.

Another chick has gone missing. Not a hide nor hair of it. I am going to have to get something more secure if I ever have any valuable chicks.

Bummer. How many does that make now? Right when your post came up, skunk smell wafted through the slider. All sorts of critters roaming around out there and once they figure out how to get an easy meal, they will keep coming back. Don't have to be expensive chickens either. Still losing money on the deal.
