This is pretty good. I have a week before my sis and I go on our little trip south. Wonder if I could lose 5 lbs in a week. Worth a try!

Paleo diet is patterned after what "cavemen" ate. Meats, leafy veg, some fruit, very little grain products, no dairy. Pretty much any diet that cuts out refined sugars is going to help you lose weight. It's just the hardest thing to give up! I will try and see what happens. Already blew it for today. Cornflakes and a peach for breakfast (90% carbs). Lunch was pasta and homemade red sauce with turkey burger (70% carbs). Must have a salad for dinner then. Maybe with some tuna. I like the good foods, I have just been very lazy, and maybe a bit bored, since I cannot be as active. I must FIGHT!

Yes, I did it for a little while once, but did not feel better. Need a piece of bread (whole grain) every now and then to keep things running smoothly.  I need to cut back though, especially on the rubbish.  My diet is actually not that bad, I've just been eating too much.  Portion control. I need to take half of what I normally do and lay off the ice cream desserts, which is the hardest part.  I am addicted to sugar, no doubt.   Lack of exercise from my foot hurting so much is doing me in!  Guess I'll have to go see a quack doctor about it soon.  I know they'll just tell me to lose some weight!  :rolleyes:


I'm a serious sugar addict :oops: That has been the hardest part. Cutting back on the energy drinks :(
I know what you mean about the excersize. It sure is a catch 22 when you have an injury.
Quack is the best term to describe some of them over here!


Are you practicing paleo diet?

Paleolithic diet, no carbs at all, a lot of protein, good fats, vegetables, fruits, nuts and almonds

I love sponge cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream!
