Quote: Funny you said that!!! the wood shed we have had horses or ponies in it at one time, They are all chewed to crap! The goats dont seem to bother with the skids or anything off the coops. Knock wood, they are browsers not really grazers too, they eat off the ground and rarely see them eating anything out of the grass. always hoofed up trying to reach something hanging down to eat. But I am surrounded by woods and brush so its not like I have them in a field or anything. I was worried about the landscape ties because when we were cutting them for the stone enclosure they nawed on the ends a bit, but then stopped.

so very GLAD you didn't leave us forever.

The goats may have gotten a little taste of creosote from the tie's and as this can be caustic they evidently learned quickly

I can NOT wait until the 2 at the farm go to freezer camp. OMG what terrors and escape artists.

Then they go around the farm "visiting" the yaks and the chickens. before committing mayhem

the 12 cups of coffee is actually down from my "normal" intake LOL

I get my raw milk from a young couple that live over by Elgin. There is a one time share fee of 75 and then a monthly "boarding fee" of 30.00 for this you get a gallon of milk a week. The have mainly jerseys

Linda is getting ready to party tonight.....
Are you going to be able to get a nap in before y'all head out?

the goats like to play "chicken" with the momma yaks. one of these days they are going to get "skewered"

The calves seem to enjoy the goats and the sort of "play" buy not for long as then momma or the head babysitter with break it up.

This job now seems to be mainly Granny's job. She also lets Wagoner know when it is getting to ruff with the other calves.

I bet that is cute to watch...the goats and the yaks playing together!
