I lifted a piece of tin and found a snake, so I'm done in the yard for the day.

Where are the keets when you need them? I thought they would eat snakes.

At the farm, not in my yard under that piece of tin. I threw it to them, and threw them some scratch to get their attention. Every big dumb goat IMMEDIATELY started eating the scratch in top of and around this dead snake. SO goats aren't afraid of snakes. I guess.

That's too hot even for sitting around. I had 3 fans running all night, all doors and windows open, trying to pull the cool air in from the back of the house. Cool being a relative term as it was still 80 something at 10pm. It's rare we don't cool down at night, usually into 50s, which is why I have grumpy tomatoes.

I didn't candle last night and now I have an external pip in a day 19 egg. 9 or so are internall pipped. Another 3 quit on me, so 11 total in lockdown.

I think I'm going to move the hatcher to the dining hall so the campers can see a bit of the process.

I have no idea. Lol. I think he felt bad because I've lost most of my flock to a coon or a skunk, so he got online and ordered "assorted rare breeds."
It's going to be an adventure.
