Well I stopped by the feed store last night to get my mutt some more chow...and found out their new shipment set for today would contain "amuricanas".

Lol broody is bound and determined to be a mama!

So are you going to get some ? I was looking up chigger bites. thats the closest thing I can find to what is biting Tom and myself. Fingernail polish ? I dont have any. LOL

Mornings, I got tons of sleep.  feeling better.  Its very hot out already and grass looks like it has never been mowed. LOL The weed whip still sits in the barn looking pretty.  I dont care.  As my dad used to say,  In a hundred years from now you wont be able to tell the difference.

Glad you feeling better granny :hugs
I read about the cafuffle yesterday with getting to the hospital :hugs

The grass will still be there when it's cooled down :D

Hope your having a better day today.

Yep, I agree with your dad. Stay inside were it is cool. You sure they are not flea bites?

Sigh. Fil is wanting my old wagoon for sil.
Sil is a new driver. Old wagoon has some transmission issues (where when you're trying to stop sometimes it won't shift itself proper and it will try to stall itself out) among some other oddities.

good grief I'd rather lose the money on the new wagoon and send her that than ship that one off to her!!!

Hubs "oh crap I forgot about sil needing a car!@
Me "uh. I'd rather not sell it to her cause of the odd issues"

I understand about not wanting to let a family member have a vehicle with 'issues'. My grandson wanted my old pick up - NO WAY! It was too fast and too light a truck for a kid who was likely to have a bit of a heavy foot. Within 6 months of getting his license he totaled a vehicle. No injuries, but if it had been that old truck things very well might have ended up differently.

Well I mean that wagoon has enough power to do something stupid in. Stock that engine puts out about 195 hp to the wheel. As it sits now, it's likely somewhat over 200hp. (How do I know what the engine does stock? Cause I Dyno'd my old s70 with the same engine)

It leaks oil. It leaks coolant somewhere - we've never been able to figure out where or how. When it gets hot, the transmission gets grumpy(er) and doesn't always like to shift into high gear. When you stop a good percentage of the time it doesn't shift properly and the car tries to stall itself out. I could very easily see her not expecting this and rear ending someone.

Speaking of stalling itself out, you have to do a very deliberate shift from reverse to drive (aka SLOW) or else you have a higher likelihood of it stalling itself out. Bear in mind friends this is an automatic transmission.

She's not even 17. Yes she has a job yes I'm sure her dad would rather not have to battle her for his truck but still. Why are cars a given down here? Oh kid has their drivers license we must get them their own car?? They don't live on a farm I'm sure there is public transit.

I didn't have my own car when I lived at home. I walked, transit, or yeah would borrow the parents car when they allowed it.

They probably want it because she has a job and they don't want yo have yo drive her to work and back. It doesn't sound like a safe vehicle. Would she be driving it in a freeway or a big city.?

Honestly not too sure. They're near Sacramento but I'm not sure where her work is or anything like that. I just sent fil a message saying I've been driving that car for two years and with its demons I am NOT comfortable with her driving it.

I'd rather just run out to the auctions with hubs and we can find her something on the cheap that she can afford...fix up what we need to on it and there we go. I mean hubs has red wagoon listed for 1,800 some odd. I know they don't have that. (Hubs is also looking to replenish his fix the rock crawler fund)
