I have the same MIL...
she is just nasty!

i have learned over the years to just stay away from her which works out just fine.

My kids only have one grandma...they refer to her as daddy's mom...and NOT because I told them too.

They learned the hard way...by themselves.

now that is truly sad/terrible I feel for the kids.

I am the bigger person and have been for 20 years...I always give her second chances but when you want to stoop down and say ugly things about your grand children in front of them....no deal..
there is only so much sheltering my kids from her.

Sometimes we just have to see her and the kids dread it.
I always try to make the best of the situation and encourage the kids but they all know the truth.
It is very day but very well known on my husbands side of the family.
DH mother is one of 12 kids.....
only 2 of her sister will have anything to do with her.
