I am but lots aren't. I think I saw 20,000 displaced, 10,000 of those rescued.

how far away are you from this mess ? that town on the videos , forgot the name of it. Like wal marts, Is that where you shop ?

I'm an hour west of Lafayette and two hours west of Baton Rouge. Denham Springs is just on the other side of BR. But I have friends in all those places. Lots of chicken folks on fb have lost their entire flocks. It was a big source of income for some of them.

Congrats!

Thinking about listing "homestead starter packs" on my farm page. 3 pullet chicks, 2-3 roos, and a handful of seasonal seeds. So they can have 3 for eggs, then keep the best roo and have 2 for freezer camp, and they can start a garden!

The yaks are making full use of the big pasture exploring the entire thing and no set pattern of where they go or at what time.

Porter got "foxey" the other day after a brief sprinkle was running/trotting all around the pasture and then came over for some treats/scratches. Tongue hanging out. So funny to see a 1200 lb hairy creature actually bouncing around with his tail in the air.
