Eli's dad supposed to be here in 10 min. This is very odd how they are interacting. They need an intervention. side by side on the floor each on their own computer. Me thinks I am a bad influence. I did try to get them outside.C B asked him to come out when he fed the chickens and he said no.

I had a very early breakfast this am and not very much and ended up only eating kale for dinner. (chicken grossed me out).

Taxi time.

I have to run to the store before picking up #2 from practice. Also going to get take and bake pizza for tonight. I'm still not hungry from lunch... no interest in cooking at all. Poor guys... all three of them sure are going to suffer being forced to eat pizza!

The sky is gray today. Wind shifted and blew in smoke from whatever fire happens to be burning near or far. It's very dreary, and even though I can't smell the smoke, it makes the inside of my mouth sting a bit. Sinuses are starting to hurt too. I didn't want #2 to run in the bad air, but I don't think he checked his phone. He better not get sick.

There are a few people on to keep you company of they ever post! I better get going.

Oh, and that's the way kids "play" these days. We've got a big generation gap to contend with. CB will be more well rounded having chores and responsibility.

Wishing & Granny, the tough skin tomatoes are hybrids. Next yeat try a heirloom like beefsteak, homestead, cherokee purple, mr stripey

Hybrids are about the only things that will produce here. I try heirlooms every year. They don't do well for me. Rarely get a tomato from them. Right now when they want warm weather, we get cool nights (low 50s) and foggy cool mornings. I have to use early varieties or ones for cool weather like Stupice or SF Fog, and they are hard to find. Cherokee Purple is supposed to do well, but I've had no luck. I'm going to buy a truckload of manure next spring, and see if that makes a difference. Soil here is very poor. What does it mean when the leaves curl so the underside is exposed?
