Hey, all, just a quick pop-in while I'm in between the last of the boxes to be unpacked.

We made it safely to Oregon on July 28th and, last Monday, moved into our new house......cable guy just left so now we have internet again and here I am

Things haven't turned out exactly as planned/hoped, but most of it has worked out for the better so I can't complain too much about that....and am working on making peace with the things that don't necessarily fall into that category (ie the fact that we have ended up living in pretty much the one town I didn't want to be living in, lol). DH started working within a week of our arrival and, now that we are in a house and no longer living two hours apart, I have started looking for a job of my own. Thanks to finding our house so quickly we were able to avoid having to have DS start school where he and I were staying - he is all registered up here and starts next week. I think I am finally at the point of no longer waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Best part of the house is........the landlords are completely cool with the idea of us having chickens!!!!

I can't say enough about how fabulous these folks are, but that was the icing on the cake for me.

So, what did I miss?????

Hi all, about a 3-4 hr nap. I think thats all I do anymore.
Mare, all settled in ? beautiful house. Is there chickens in the forcast ?

Naps are good - - and I think we all know that it isn't all you do, you are one busy lady!

Almost all settled in, still have a few boxes of here's and there's let to unpack and still working on figuring out where everything goes in this new house, but that's part of the fun of moving I suppose. I do believe chickens will be in the forecast for the spring.
