Think I will just sit on him next time he bites me. LOL That will learn him.

You are correct Camp, He is bored and extremely high energy. Very curious. He was checking out how the toilet works today. Sigh I havent had a poop by myself since my first kid was born. I think I could go in front of the pope now if I needed to

That would make quite the perfume for you!!!

Might as well use it . No hope of anyone else except the dog licking my hand.

Now i have 48 spaces to plant transplants in my fall garden. Still too hot but im going to start buying plants. Dug a row to plant purple top turnips. Added fertilizer. Have to get seeds, plants, chicken & dog feed Thursday when we" go to town" ( the farmers cooperative).
Picked & shelled lima & green beans. Having them for supper with cream corn & bbq chicken.

With Jasper I take him to the farm for an hour, bring him in and feed him then right back out for another 20 minutes or so. Then into the kennel so I can get some work done. After an hour (or two) I go back outside, and he's out of the kennel for about another hour. We play with toys, go for a walk, and he plays with Jewel.

I know some folks don't agree with Cesar's methods, but I do really think his leash walking is on point. For a high energy pup, walking nicely on a leash is just as mentally exhausting an a three mile jog. Putting new wrinkles in his brain will tire him out.

Have him sit for his leash. Have him sit to open the door. Have him sit and focus on you periodically through the walk. Have him sit if he tugs on the leash. If he's on a leash, you can train him from a chair. Look up fun tricks for him to do. This gives him a job to focus on instead of just terrorizing the household looking for a playmate.

So I think we have a skunk. Sigh.

Hubs and I were sitting on the porch last night, dog was doing dog things and we smell it. Skunk spray. Call the dog in a panic give her the sniff over (she didn't smell like skunk thank goodness but there was an aroma of gear oil...lovely....so she still got a "sponge bath" since it was mostly her head....dangit husband!)

So not sure what the skunk sprayed or where, hubs suspects skunk is under the "shipping container" (where many rabbits and squirrels live)

We got lucky. Dog is going to be supervised a bit better outside though.
I wonder....would skunks eat chicken eggs? That would explain the crappy amounts of late...

Crazy....My Dh decided to add some gear oil to his car this am.....I work up to my whole house smelling like it!
YUK!!!!!!! Hours later I can still smell the stench!
