I pulled weeds out of a flower pot last night. It had strawberries in the spring that didn't survive. I'm going to finish pulling weeds today I hope (

) and get seeds started in both places, garden and porch containers.

So I think we have a skunk. Sigh.

Hubs and I were sitting on the porch last night, dog was doing dog things and we smell it. Skunk spray. Call the dog in a panic give her the sniff over (she didn't smell like skunk thank goodness but there was an aroma of gear oil...lovely....so she still got a "sponge bath" since it was mostly her head....dangit husband!)

So not sure what the skunk sprayed or where, hubs suspects skunk is under the "shipping container" (where many rabbits and squirrels live)

We got lucky. Dog is going to be supervised a bit better outside though.
I wonder....would skunks eat chicken eggs? That would explain the crappy amounts of late...

While skunks could take/eat chickens, they are more likely to just take eggs -- skunks aren't really all that predatory, more of an oportunistic eater.

No Porter and the 2 girls were already registered just needed owner transfer  but even that wasn't simple as the guy I bought them from didn't do a transfer.

Lady in question has 1 or 2 dogs for sure but also dogs sits for other people. 

Do you regularly inspect the monthly rentals? Make sure they are keeping them clean. How do you dog sit when you live in a motel?

We have late start every other wed here. It's kind of a pain. Lol

DS's new school will have early release every Wednesday - and one heck of a confusing schedule the rest of the week, glad I'm not the one who has to try to keep it all straight (lol) -- they do 1-7 periods Monday, Wednesday and Friday (short periods Wednesday) and then Tuesday is the even periods with long periods and Thursday is odd periods with long periods

I am *really* hoping it goes well for him this year and he gets to make some new friends once school starts.

I don't have everyone's ss numbers yet so I am on hold with that til I get them. HR block is gonna print out my last year taxes so I will have them. I'll be good for a day or two it's usually day three and four that suck so I hope they get it done before that.

Was just going to ask how you had done your taxes recently - as a service can reprint and/or if done online yourself you can access/print any time which will at least give you the numbers, not helpful if you need the actual card but the numbers are a starting point.

Another crappy night of sleep. Last time I looked at clock was 5 am and the time before that was 3 am, 2 am, 1 am I actually turned the lights off about 12:30 am and up at 9 am.

HATE that - the longer you lay there think about how you aren't falling asleep the worse it gets and every time you look at the clock you realize just how little time there is left before you have to be up and running again.......blech!

Cold rainy morning here, in other words it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! - not a lot going on, think I'll give DS a haircut and then who knows -- probably unpack/arrange stuff in the house, need to run by the new school to check on the transcript request they sent the old school (got a vm from the old school at 4:30 this morning....lovely 3 hour time difference......seems they still haven't gotten a request from the new school, was supposed to be faxed last week), gotta go get Z licensed through the city and maybe we'll take a trip to the dog park if it clears up later today.

sounds like a "fun" filled day. I hate dealing with "agencies" it is always a case of hurry up and wait. What they want they wanted last week and then you can sit and whistle for them to do anything with it/for you.
