Mine ran w/ the uncut hatchmates from day one post procedure w/o incident. The cut can't be seen by the other chickens so they won't mess w/ it.

Oh good, I was concerened about the other bird/s just picking on him and wearing him out. I will give it a try and put my docile pullet in with him for some company.

(hoy castrado foto pollo, nació en marzo, tiene un peso de 2 Kg. libras están en 4,6. ; Espero que algo llega a pesar más de 4 kg (8 libras);
En la foto se puede ver, el tamaño de los testítulos; y pollo, capón y en perfecto estado.
Como se puede ver tanto el peso y la edad, es más alto de lo normal, pero si nos fijamos en el tamaño de los testículos, se verá que son más bien pequeñas.
Las herramientas no saben chino, sólo he visto algunos vidio, pero me parece que el entrenamiento para usar correctamente se necesita el cable. Ver más práctico polipotomo, o simplemente un caña.o cánula)

Les recomiendo que se fijen mas en el peso del pollo que en la edad; un caponaje adecuado esta, cuando los pollos tienen 1,200 Kg. de peso a 1,400 kg. es el momento adecuado para realizar la intervencion.

. Los expertos son los chinos, al menos en los vídeos
es 1,5 libras de peso muy ligero, se hace difícil llevar a cabo cualquiera de los testículos; se hace mejor en los pesos que he indicado, Pruébalo y verás que EASIE

Hello Juan. If I am understanding correctly (using an online translation) you caponize at around 2 lbs.

Have you had many slips (not fully caponized) with that size?
As I understand the older the bird, the more fragile the testes. It it nice to have more space and more to grasp with an older bird but difficult to go through the whole process only to miss a peice of testes!

¿Ha tenido muchos resbalones (no castrado totalmente) con ese tamaño?
Según tengo entendido la mayor edad del ave, la más frágiles los testículos. Es bueno tener más espacio y más de captar con un pájaro antiguo, pero difícil de pasar por todo el proceso sólo para perder un pedazo de testículos!

Mas Grandes y mas viejos dan Problemas, Por El Campanadas De Los testículos; y ademas no sí consigue el efecto Deseado en Cuanto al sabor y la textura de la carne.
Tengo bastantes tropiezos fracasos Y; Cuanto No Se extrae el testículo entero y sí regeneran, Lo Que sí Aprecia, Por Su Actitud de gallo

Hola Tara, si entre 2 libras y 2.5 libras.
problemas más grandes y de mayor edad, el tamaño de los testículos; y así no se logra el sabor y la textura de la carne efecto deseado.
Tengo un montón de contratiempos y fracasos; No extraído como toda testículo y regenerada, que se aprecia por su gallo actitud

So you capoonize more for the taste and quaility of meat? I understand that! I have a couple of different reasons for caponizing, but a full capon is the desired result for me. I don't want to keep my roosters around until they are ready for the freezer, without having my flock disrupted by teenage roos. I also plan to market full capons for those in the city that connot have rooseters for the crowing issue. but still want a pretty 'lawn ornament'. I also love the idea of getting quaility meat without ordering hatchery birds! So many pluses for caponizing!!!

I have yet to butcher a capon so have no experiance with the meat. I will be caponizing all of my mix breed cockerals that hatch, so I will have plenty of them. I am thinking that capons will become a coveted addition to backyard flocks, especially the breeder quaility roos.
