Great DH, bad dogs! another update page 11

The dog didn't even make a wimper.....Don't get too upset...LOL

I kicked a dog and a chicken today. I guess I am just as violent as my DH

ETA: Let me say that I use the term "kick like a football" all the time wheather it be a hard kick like a field goaler or a soft toss kick. Sorry if I made it seem like he just wammed this poor little doggie out the door flying through the air - he did kick her and if she came back in I am sure he would kick her out again but it isn't a violent kick.....

...but I wouldn't want to imply we abuse animals here...I am a rehabber/rescuer myself and I would never condone any animal abuse in my home...even from my own dh

Is he always that violent when something happens he dosent like? Please be careful...

No, he is one of the sweetest men I know. Very loving sweet man but when he has had enough, he has had enough. He asked me not to bring the animal inside several times. I kept doing it, then he told me not to ever bring her back in the house. I did again, so he opens the door and kicked her out with his foot. It was in no violent act like you are assuming....he didn't kick her as hard as he could've. He made his point and I then realized he was very upset about me keeping on bringing the animal in....never did it again either.

What about when he does kick one too hard? Then what? Will you make more excuses for him?

Honey, i KNOW you NEVER want to believe me..but please think about this..please! Would a truly sweet man take out his anger with you on an innocent animal? No..and you know it..you just cant admit it for some reason... And thats okay too.

I'm just not going to get into this with you...You honestly seem like a very nice person..and i know we'll just disagree about all of this...its your choice to live how you like. And i'll respect that choice..and not say another word about it. AND you have my best wishes in everything ..

It is OK....

I say stand your ground. Be fair, be calm, but stand your ground and dont ever let a man use little boy control tactics on you. IF you do..its just teaching him how to always get his way...trust me it WONT get any better if you dont stop it now..

Believe me he lives very comfortably and mostly on my dime. I work from Aug till May and he has some kinda personal finance business and works from home and has plenty of free time, Might I ad He has built me a large retaining wall, a shed, a new deck, a chicken coop and a chicken run, oh and I forgot about the work indoors. he completly redid a downstairs bedroom and just completed a ceramic floor in the kitchen and a many other things. My bad?

Please don't kick your animals. There are always better ways to handle animals when they annoy you. Remember your animals are not human, they can't understand the way we do.

Leghorn... all our advice is just that... our ideas that might help. Someone said that everyones suggestions on parting ways is not solving the issue or something similar. I must agree. It's a rare thing to find someone that you can live with. If you have a problem, running away is not the answer. I'd do as redhen suggested and stand your ground, but be fair to him as well. Good luck...
