Great natural acne treatment!!!!!!!!

Thank you all soooooo much for posting all of this information. I literally until I got pregnant could tell you exactly how many pimples I have had in my life and when exactly they happened. Ever since I got pregnant I have a new pimple almost every morning it seems. Dr. told me to just use the Neutrogena soap or foam..it does a good job of cleaning my face but seems to be doing absolutely nothing for actually preventing the acne. I'll run these by my Dr. and make sure it's okay (don't see why they wouldn't be, I'm allowed to eat the stuff!)

Thank you again!

My mom makes homemade soap. And has many many people (off the top of my head I can think of 28 people-but I know more people buy her soap than that.) who keep returning for her soap.
All these people have had MAJOR acne problems there whole life. Once they started using her soap it went away. The acne cleared up and the red scaring even went away.
The soap she makes is all we use here. Took hubby a while to get used to the idea of not using "Store bought" soap. But he has eventually given in.
Our oldest daughter has very sensitive skin. Anytime she would use 'body washes' or even 'store bought' soap she would break out in rashes. But when she uses the soap from my mom she has never had that happen.

Borage oil. You can buy capsules at any pharmacy and they aren't expensive. They are wonderful for skin. I believe that the best way to clear up acne is not only trying to clear it up on the outside, but also the inside.
Organic castille soap 2x a day also will help. I use the eucalyptus one and it clear up acne nicely. It will purge your pores like you wouldn't believe.

How funny that Beekissed has heard about an egg white trick.
I learned about an old trick way back when. Use one egg yolk (got any of those laying around?

) and apply it to your face like a mask 1-2x a week. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, or long enough for it to completely dry.
It really does work and it's soothing for your skin. It stinks like no other, from what I remember, but I used to do that every so often when I was in highschool and had the occasional problem. Most of the time, I'd use it as a spot treatment.

I've had bad acne since I was a preteen. Did all those over the counter pimple creams. Didn't work, tetracycline and minocycline. Worked for awhile. I was also washing with neutragenia. Ended up going on the pill which helped a bit. But people who haven't seen me in awhile (even my mom) are impressed with how my skin looks now. They ask what I do different. Well No birth control, no antibiotics, no washing my face twice a day. I take a high vitamin cod liver oil. The brand I take is natural vitamin A and would be hard to overdose on. Accutain is manufactured vit A and is easily over dosed.

I take Blue Ice™ Gold Therapeutics by Green Pastures. It is a combination of high vitamin cod liver oil and butter oil. In 1/2 teaspoon of the regular blue Ice cod liver oil there are 5750 IU of naturally occurring vitamin A and 575 IU of naturally occurring vitamin D.

Do buy cod liver oil with synthetic Vit A and D.

* 1) ZINC!! A zinc deficiency is a major cause of acne in people, especially males. A good multi *after meals* (to avoid stomach upset) with REAL vit. A, C, E and 22-5O mg. MAX Of ZINC will go a long way to clearing acne. A few other tips: 2) Reduce excess oil production with aloe vera gel, a pea-sized dab applied to a clean, wet face 3 times a week. Reduce use as oilness decreases until you are using the aloe once a week. MAKE SURE whatever aloe product you use does NOT contain glycerin. (Glycerin breaks me out badly, and has also done so in others who have used aloe gels with it.) 3) Buy several plain white cotton pillowcases for you bed and NEVER sleep with a dirty face or with an even slightly dingy pillowcase. Change your pillowcase at least every other day. 4) If you or your acne-stricken kid or friend is a picker or squeezer, (and if they aren't, I'd be amazed. . .) INSIST that their face, hands, and under their NAILS are squeaky clean BEFORE they go at it, and soften pores with a steamy towel first.
