My 3.5 months old chick's poop is green (pics attached) and it has been pooping like this since 2 hours and the amount of dropping is 5. Is it emergency situation?
If your hen looks fine and is healthy and eating, is probably fine. It looks like a poop of a hen who free ranges and has access to lots of leafy greens.
No I didnt give them red cabbage but I feed them parsley usually but they never poop like this before. So today in the morning I just gave them few leaves of parsley as usual. It sometimes seems fine and eats fine too but sometimes it chirps a lot when its mother is around (which isnt usual bcz its been happening since 2-3 days) other than that I notice that may be it feels cold as it has been rainning here for 3-4 days and my chick (greystone) doesnt seem like to rainy weather much.
A 3.5 month old chicken should be able to handle the cold just fine. I read that sometimes green poop is a sign of worms and other diseases, but it is most likely caused by a diet high in greens. And the chirping when the mother is around is just normal communication... I really wouldn’t worry unless it starts acting lethargic and standing around with its feathers puffed out.
