Green Egger Naked Neck Thread

Pics
Here is a picture if the chicks that came from the green eggs.

400

I got a total if 8.

Blacks and blues mostly. I think they may get some red leakage as they mature. The dad was a Blue Cooper Naked Neck and the two moms were a Duckwing color and a Wheaten.

I think there is a total of seven if these. A lot of partridge coloring has popped out on these.

All these chicks came from green eggs. Two different hens. Both with the same rooster.

I have no ideal if they will continue the green egg line or not, the rooster as far as I know ( I didn't breed him) came from a brown egg.

I'm not particularly breeding for the green egg anymore but if I get green egg layers that's alright I just hatch the separate and mark them as such.

I had miscounted the other day when I posted how many chicks came from the green eggs. There were a total of 8 instead of 7.

I went through them again this morning checking leg ties to be sure none were too tight.

Initial count not definite is 3 cockerels and 5 pullets. A couple were questionable as to comb size and tail feathers.

Well I'm down to 5 of the original 8 from this cluster. These are the chicks that hatched from the green eggs.

This picture is only showing 4 the other one hid him/herself when I was gathering for the group picture:

After all these years, NN chicks still make me smile. I enjoy ally/any chicks but I don't have to tell you just how special the NNs are.

Yes the chicks are my favorite part of the chickens myself. Then when they get around 10/12 weeks old I start telling them they need to grow fast and start laying eggs.

I'm not sure but I think I only have two pulleys out if these that are pullets. Don't know if either will lay green eggs or not.
